NABL accreditation signifies that Tiscon Testing and Research Institute Pune , meets international standards for competence in testing, as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017. It ensures reliable, accurate, and consistent test results, recognized globally for quality and technical proficiency.

TISCON’s accreditation (Certificate Number: TC-8827, valid from 10/04/2024 to 09/04/2026) covers extensive testing of electrical transmission line equipment and accessories. The scope includes: Materials Tested: Stranded conductors (ACSR, AAAC, AAC, ACCC, ACSS, AL59, ACS, STACIR, OPGW, GS Earth Wire), armour rods, AB cable accessories, covered conductor accessories, power connectors, and more. Tests Performed: DC resistance, tensile strength, elongation, wrapping, lay ratio, dielectric voltage, electrical ageing, thermal tests, clamp bolt torque, magnetic power loss, and visual examinations, among others. Standards: Tests are conducted per international and Indian standards like BS, IEC, IS, IEEE, ASTM, ANSI, and NF C series. TISCON tests a wide range of electrical transmission line equipment, including: Stranded conductors and earth wires (e.g., ACSR, AAAC, AAC, AL59, OPGW). Armour rods and aluminum-clad steel components. AB cable and neutral conductor accessories (e.g., anchoring clamps, suspension clamps, IPC). Covered conductor accessories. Power connectors, joints, and metal fittings for insulators. Vibration dampers, spacer dampers, and suspension clamps.

TISCON conducts over 350 tests, including but not limited to: Electrical Tests: DC resistance, dielectric voltage, electrical ageing, heat cycling. Mechanical Tests: Tensile strength, breaking load, slip strength, clamp bolt torque, mechanical damage. Physical Tests: Measurement of diameter, lay ratio, mass per unit length, visual examination. Environmental Tests: Thermal tests, water tightness, endurance under mechanical and thermal stresses. Specialized Tests: Long-term creep, stress-strain, magnetic power loss, and galvanizing tests.
